Pet Sitting Questions
Pet Sitting Questions
What time of day do you visit?
This is flexible to your needs, 9.00 am to 6.00 pm but this is just a guideline and other times can be arranged.
How long is the visit?
Again individual to your personal requirements, however a standard cat visit, would be approximately 20 -30 minutes which primarily ensures your pet is fed, safe and clean (litter tray) whilst keeping them company as mail is stacked , plants watered, curtains tweaked, bins replaced and security checked if required.
This is all discussed fully with you personally, and I will try and meet all your needs as these may vary from person to person, pet to pet. Young animals require different attention to the elderly but both are equally important and the care needs to be assessed for them individually even if they are in the same household so that you feel comfortable leaving them in safe hands.
Can I get in touch with you to find out if my pet is safe and well?
Absolutely, Email as often as you wish.
Emails are checked morning and evening 7 days a week and responded to on a daily basis, and for an additional charge we can either call or text you upon per visit to let you know everything is ok.
Will my home be secure?
As secure as you have left it and more secure as daily visits keep tabs on the property –any parcels left I will take indoors, bins replaced.
My vehicle is unmarked so no one would be aware of the sitting service attending the premises.
On leaving the property I will make sure that all windows /doors are secure and alarms if fitted are set correctly.
What about my keys?
I will collect your keys when you wish and hand them back when I am contacted or when previously arranged, If however you wish me to keep your keys for another booking they will be stored in a safe at my home address.
This also may be useful if you ever lock yourself out! Although the keys would only be handed over to the person that handed them to me in the first place with a signature.
What if my pets becomes ill?
On initial interview any health concerns or medication will be discussed and noted in your own portfolio, together with the name of your Vet and their contact numbers. I will contact you immediately.
The main concern would be the welfare of your pet, Insurance/arrangements with your vet will be discussed prior to your stay away.
